By creating an account or using Lentil you agree to them. If you use Lentil for a business, you agree on its behalf. Our [privacy policy](https://uselentil.com/privacy) explains how we handle personal information. ## Your account You must be at least 18 and give us an email address you control. You are responsible for what happens in your account and your workspaces, including actions by people you invite and AI assistants you connect. Keep access to your email and devices secure, and tell us at [hello@uselentil.com](mailto:hello@uselentil.com) if you think someone else has accessed your account. ## Your content You own the text, images, business details and other material you add to Lentil or ask us to import ("your content"). You give us a license to host, copy, process, adapt and display your content only as needed to run Lentil for you, including sending it to our service providers. The license ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups and logs that expire on their own. You confirm that you have the rights to your content and to any website you ask us to import, and that publishing it does not break the law or anyone else's rights. If you receive a valid notice that content on your site infringes someone's rights, or we do, we may take it down. ## AI-generated content Lentil uses AI to write pages, suggest designs, create images and draft replies. AI can make mistakes, including stating facts about your business that are not true. Review what it produces before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish on your site; content generated for you is yours to use, to the extent we have any rights in it. ## Acceptable use Do not use Lentil to: - publish anything illegal, deceptive, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit, or anything that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights; - impersonate another business or person, phish, or distribute malware; - send spam, including through contact forms or invitations; - import or copy a website you do not have the right to use; - overload, probe, or work around the limits or security of the service, or resell it without our written permission. Connected AI assistants act with your permissions and must follow these terms too. ## Plans and billing Every site can start on the free plan. Paid plans, AI credit packs and their prices are shown in the app before you buy, and are charged through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel; you can cancel any time from the billing page, and the paid plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. AI credits are used up as you use AI features; unused credits have no cash value. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the change applies to you. If a payment fails, we may move your sites back to the free plan. ## Sample sites we offer you We may build a sample website for your business from its public information and offer it to you with a private link. A sample is a preview: until you claim it, it is not public and we delete it after the offer expires. If you claim it, these terms apply and the site and its content become part of your account. ## Domains and other services You can connect a domain you own; you stay responsible for its registration and renewal. Lentil works with services such as Google and Shopify that you choose to connect, under their own terms. We are not responsible for those services or for scripts you add to your site. ## Suspension and ending You can stop using Lentil at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or remove a site or account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is required to be removed by law; where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we ever shut Lentil down, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your content. ## Disclaimers and liability Lentil is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your site will reach any particular search ranking or result. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim about Lentil is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100. You will compensate us for claims by others that arise from your content or your breach of these terms. ## General We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email at least 14 days before it takes effect; continuing to use Lentil after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, and disputes go to the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
